I’m excited to share that I have accepted a 3 month long position with Lane County Public Health to focus building a social media campaign to increase suicide prevention services in Lane County 💚 #mentalhealth

Just a reminder that, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now, everything is gonna be okay. You’re okay. You will be okay. This is not the end.

I’m telling you, if you don’t do the inner work, life will keep passing you by. Years after years, you’ll notice the same patterns, the same hurts and same lessons The way to put a stop to them is to kindly look within, start understanding yourself and increasing your knowledge.

I’m in a 2 day training for suicide prevention and one thing I am realizing is that as a Public Relations major (and a student learning about journalism) I have not been taught how to communicate through media about suicide until now. I’m curious to know if we have any classes…

The most conflicting messages. “Being gay is not a crime but it is a sin so let’s help you change” this is another reason why I cannot support the church. This is not a safe space.

if a person is used to interactions where ‘sweeping things under the rug’ is normal and unused to directly addressing issues and the feelings they elicit. they’ve likely not learned to healthily deal with conflict, so silent treatment/stonewalling may be their 1st line of defense

Catch 22: we learned during the pandemic that mental health has a great impact on employment. Yet we still see the same policies in state departments that bar those struggling from receiving unemployment.
