Some thoughts: - Our counter proposal to the NRL didn’t ask for one more dollar than what the NRL have put on the table - We’ve worked hard for the first CBA for women in our game. Paul if you have daughters/nieces/granddaughters entering our great game they will be protected

- We’re trying to look after players specifically when they exit the game.Establishing programs that other major codes have had in place for many years - We’re trying to help out the most vulnerable and lowest paid players (greater protections for minimum wage, training wage etc)

- Whatever we secure for the players share we want to control our slice of the pie, to use how the players want (injury/hardship/retirement). We don't tell the NRL where they should spend their share once that's been agreed. That's their responsibility

I think that’s a fairly reasonable set of goals, and if working for that puts a target on my head for the cheap shots so be it. It’ll be worth it. And to clarify again, we are not asking for more money in our proposal
