Watched the Bill Ritter piece on the death of John Lennon, that uses the full access Eyewitness News had that day. Storytelling in the hands of a master, Bill knows how to let people tell their story and get out of the way. Eyewitness to the Death of John Lennon. Top shelf journalism.

Finally read Center Stage by Michael Kay The riveting, harrowing Mike Tyson interview is worth twice what I paid for the book. The Paul Simon interview is worth at least twice that. The backstage stories are even better. Enjoyed every word.
This is the book JackCurryYES was born to write, definitely the one I hoped he would write, and it’s so solid. Such a well honed reporter’s eye focused on a talented and determined team. Get “The 1998 Yankees,” A terrific read with a hundred great stories you haven’t heard.
I’ve known Gary McClain for more than 40 years. The most empathetic and gentle man I know. This is his remarkable new book, and I hear his strong, gentle and comforting voice in every important sentence. A book for anyone who knows the sting of loss.
Thank you to Michael Kay for making a 90 year old Yankees fan, born in the Bronx, so happy. She shows this clip to all her friends. You are juggling an awful lot during a game and to find the time was so gracious of you. My favorite voice in baseball. Thanks, man.
