💥 Adolis García hit 39 HRs in 2023 and looked like a budding superstar. Fast forward to 2025… he’s chasing more, slugging less, and stuck in a mechanical rut. But the raw tools? Still nasty. Let’s break down what’s off, what’s still elite—and how to rebuild a monster 🧵

Consistency comes from adaptability, not repetition. 🎯 Set an environment for adaptation 🧠 Set goals for the hitter 🧱 Give blocked reps for a foundation 🌪️ Add layers of variability and randomness That’s how you build skills that actually show up in games.

Recently, a major focus for Colton Schmokel has been controlling his forward move. To facilitate this, he decided to do THIS while hitting 90mph FBs from the iPitch Walk through - must control fwd move Long bat - has to stay tight Doesn’t leave a whole lot of margin for error

Sam is going to be a massive get for any program. Great athlete, can play multiple positions, has a ton of pop, and improved bat-to-ball & swing decisions this season Get on him early

Summer is getting started Driveline Baseball is the only place you can see how your swing stacks up compared to MVPs, MLB All-Stars, and top draft picks "Good enough is a disease", don't waste this summer, don't miss on your development windows

If a hitter's hands stay too close to their body during the stride, they won't have any space to slot the barrel & will frequently be very pushy. This leads to a steep path (low attack angles) The Big Papi drill can be very helpful when addressing this issue

High Early Connection & Low Connection at Impact Entering the zone w/ the barrel too vertical can lead to a flat and pull-oriented path, since the hitter has to get the barrel on-plane by manipulating it w/ their hands mid-swing One solution: using the lead arm to set bat path
