I, like most, generally don’t want to get picked for jury duty. However, I’m willing to make an exception and will, in fact, volunteer to be on the jury for Nuremberg 2.0.

We’re living inside real-life trolley problems. On social media, with our phones, with where we spend money, we’re told there are only two bad choices. There aren’t. You don’t have to pull the lever. You can get out, walk, and help dismantle the trolley.

Look around and it’s pretty obvious that “crime” and “laws” are entirely made up as ways to punish some people, but not others. What protesters are doing is legal and Constitutionally-protected. What ICE is doing is not. But the laws will just change or be ignored.

Make no mistake: the Republic has fallen. Stop clinging to the fictional version of the US we think we remember and start brainstorming what could come next if we organize and make it through this. No one wants to hear about midterms and “going back to brunch.”

They told us exactly what they were going to do. They even wrote it down and put it online. Now they’re doing it. The people saying “you’re overreacting” back then are saying “protest non-violently” and “get out and vote in the midterms” now. Seeing patterns is exhausting.
