🧠 ⚾️ 🚨 Love this insight - Perhaps the most important day in an athlete’s on-field life is the day they realize that they can have success when they’re not “feeling great”. That for all intents and purposes, they are good *enough to ‘figure it out’ and compete at any time

🧠 🚨 🏒 Unreal interview last night after his NHL Stanley Cup win A couple takeaways from coach Paul Maurice: 1. Process over outcomes 2 Prioritize being present when things get hard 3. Want the game to slow down when the clock ticks down (!!) 4. Playing free is the goal

This is a great story, but also a valuable lesson on leadership & communication. When in a position of power, do your best to avoid using ambiguous phrases like “I need to talk to you about something” 75% of folks will jump to worst case scenario and stress unnecessarily

Coaches, parents, players - don’t take it from us (who get our truths from research + working with elite competitors), listen to the guys you watch on 📺: Why you are at 12, 15, and 18 won’t matter. 1) Invest in your 🏋🏽‍♀️and 🧠 2) become a complete athlete 3) get better daily

Love this response from Mookie on his mentality before the last pitch “I was so nervous, I kept telling myself to ‘be nasty’” - acknowledged reality of the situation - trust your training - have a phrase that brings you to the best 🧠 and ❤️ space
