Here is why this response makes no sense.
They absolutely do not want a controlled study on the effectiveness of masks. If they believed that the studies would prove that masks are effective, they'd have commissioned a controlled study months ago.
Still wondering where in the Constitution it says that all your freedoms can be suspended on capricious whim of a state governor for as long as he wants because of a disease that has a 99.7% survival rate

While it had been common to leave the sick to die alone (to avoid becoming sick oneself), the early Christians collected the sick to nurse & visit them, as, despite the risk, this was seen as the right & loving thing to do. Those who recovered would in turn nurse others.
