As I wind down my school visits, I am doubly reminding the kiddos that "reading is our superpower." It can dim without regular practice. I'm counting on my super scholars to maintain their strength in reading this summer!

It's almost here! Rescue At The Zoo co-authored with the amazing, busy Zoo Disaster Response, Rescue, & Recovery (ZDR3) who works with zoos, sanctuaries, & aquariums to help ensure captive wild animals are safe during natural disasters. Just in time to learn about preparedness.

As Debby soaks our country, I'm grateful to know about organizations that help people and animals in need. Working with ZDR3 taught me a lot about how these experts track storms & help animals that live in zoos and aquariums stay safe during natural disasters.

Even though I'm older & wiser (hmm, sure), I still love the excitement of the new school year. I wish my student & teacher friends: joy that comes with learning, compassion for understanding & encouraging others, and laughter necessary to deal with all that entails. Cheers!
