In 2021, the #Benelux countries, together with Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, launched the treaty on automatic mutual recognition of higher education diplomas. On May 1 this year, the treaty entered into force. Reason for a festive celebration in Brussels. 1/3

Thanks to this Treaty, students will have fewer administrative and financial worries about having their diplomas recognized. Automatic recognition of study levels will make it easier for them to find a job or work on the other side of the border. 2/3

For now, the Benelux countries and the Baltic states are the only countries where degree levels will be automatically recognized, but other countries of the European Higher Education Area are cordially invited to join the Treaty. 3/3

On 1 May the Benelux Baltic treaty on mutual automatic recognition entered into force - a milestone celebrated yesterday at the Résidence Palais in Brussels! The treaty strengthens smooth and consistent recognition, and is open for countries to join! ENIC-NARIC Networks
