We are learning about stable counting order, sequencing, and counting forwards and backwards in kindergarten A.V. Graham!
When BEE for reading makes its way into outdoor learning organically A.V. Graham! We do our BEE (brain, eyes, ears) lesson to help us build an awareness of letters and sounds before outdoor learning. Students are singing the chants outside! @MelindaHinch
Today we played “Beat the Jack-o-lantern” by guessing letters to build our mystery word before a complete jack-o-lantern was formed A.V. Graham! Next, we discussed how it’s okay to be different. Tomorrow, we’ll learn more about this with Spookley!
We worked to do some fun and simple coding today in kindergarten A.V. Graham! We cracked the code by identifying the letters represented by each symbol. Then we discussed what type of pumpkin Spookley was!
Then we had an opportunity to make square pumpkins after we discussed how it’s okay to be different A.V. Graham! We are all unique!
We read a book about Halloween and then sorted Halloween safety statements into 2 groups to help keep Pete safe! We will be safe tonight A.V. Graham!
We are learning all about peace in honour of Remembrance Day A.V. Graham. We read The Peace Book and we are making text connections by thinking about what peace means to us.
Today we reread the peace book and discussed what peace looks like, sounds like, and feels like A.V. Graham! We sure understand what it means to demonstrate peace!
