Johnson says "schools are safe but the problem is the household mixing that occurs in schools" and if you understand what that means, you are a better person than me.

Dear Boris Johnson With £22,000,000,000 (!£22 billion!) spent on Test & Trace, why are Serco & Dido Harding not taking control Covid testing in schools? You'd imagine it was part of the deal? Instead Department for Education have given *all schools* £78mil and one week to set it up

Wow, was fairly confident that I knew most of the tips and tricks for PPT, but always something new to learn! Will definitely make use of this one. Thanks!

9% of teachers delivering remotely from school 🤔...but, but, “work from home if you can”?! And remote instruction means it can definitely be done from home! Wonder was this by choice of these teachers or they have been told they must be in their empty classrooms? Teacher Tapp

Dear Ofqual Please can you tell us what the 2022 GCSE exams will look like. We use these final weeks to plan for next year and need to do what’s best for our students. After a year of chaos, help us gain back some control. Many thanks, Every teacher in the UK 🌍

Impressive data here: shows how vaccines have clearly broken the link from cases to hospitalisations and death in U.K. Link not broken in US because of lower vaccine uptake.

Judge noted “it’s hoped that anyone reading the report will go beyond the headline and see what sits behind it… a glowing report” But that’s exactly the problem with Ofsted reports, it is only the grade/headline that matters to most.

New research and more depressing news for Ofsted' 'head is stuck-in-the-sand approach' to grading schools. An analysis of 580 primary and secondary stuck schools found that schools with more disadvantaged pupils receiving a poor Ofsted grade contributed to teacher turnover!
