In other news, I will never do a limited edition with Cemetery Dance again. It's true I was late with the signing sheets, but they're years behind in getting out the Area X limited edition and the management of the project was inept from the start.

Recently finished reading Jeff VanderMeer's Absolution, the latest (final?) entry in the Southern Reach series. Definitely a more challenging read than the original trilogy but absolutely worth it. It answers so many questions, and asks even more. Weirdness off the charts 🐊🌿📞

Now reading Absolution, Jeff VanderMeer’s prequel to the Annihilation trilogy. An unexpected appearance is made by #Winterreise, specifically the song Rast. Whether this will have lasting significance throughout the book remains to be seen. youtu.be/JBC-6F_hkww?si…

Happy to see Omar El Akkad's new book (nonfiction) prominently displayed almost everywhere. Highly recommended, complex, nuanced, but also brutally direct. One Day, Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This. (i posted about this book and other books on bluesky, not active here)

Just finished Bronson Pinchot's incredible performance of Jeff VanderMeer's latest Southern Reach novel "Absolution" on Audible. Just an all time great listen on every front, especially when the book takes a turn into the cosmically and profoundly profane down the stretch.
