It's astonishing how much the UK has changed. Only 5 years ago I was doing a drag show for kids in Edinburgh and taking the tube to drag shows. Today, the show would be picketed, and there's no way I'd ever take public transport in drag, I've been attacked too many times now.

I am relieved that the coroner will be writing to NHS England and other bodies to address systemic problems in trans healthcare. It doesn't escape me for one moment that Alice's struggles have been taken seriously far more in her death than they ever were when she was alive.
