Autism is just, having boundaries that people don't understand but assume they can just cross it over and over

I am orthodox AND i believe that same-sex couples should be allowed to marry in church. I don’t like the fact the word orthodox gets hi-jacked by those who want to oppress the LGBT+ community. I believe in the Virgin birth, the bodily resurrection and all Jesus’s miracles. 🙏🏼

With due respect for people with experience parenting and teaching autistic kids, we #ActuallyAutistic adults have a lot of experience BEING autistic kids. Minimum 18 years, in fact. So listen to us, maybe, from time to time?

I would partake in Holy Communion with only people who agree with me, but Jesus said I need to go where at least two or three are gathered, so I have to get over it and partake with people who are different...

One of my favourite things about being a cross-border commuter is this *frequent* exchange: "Oh, your name is so exotic! How long have you been in the US?" "Since 7 am."

And do Canadians realise almost all disability accommodations, from prescriptions to therapy to glasses to hearing aids to assistance dogs to wheel chairs etc etc, are usually not covered by our "universal" health care?

I just want to attend a church where people are kind to one another, don't exploit their employees, and sing hymns that have literally any discernible melody. But where is such a church?

If you think kids are not deep thinking, empathetic, or spiritual YOU ARE NOT LISTENING TO THEM WELL. And, ironically, dismissing kids' intellects, empathy, or spirituality is a really ill-informed, cold, and godless adult move.

When someone speaks your language in a thick accent of a foreign language you don't know, the correct response is to thank them for all the study and practice they have done to communicate with you.
