There aren't even leaves on all our trees yet, and the forecasted high is 99 today. It seems that spring was both late and short in Austin this year.

I know we have a lot of problems but can we talk about how it needs to be super illegal to just add cilantro to a dish as a garnish without listing it as an ingredient on the menu?

Today my daughter said, "Mom, I've always wanted a VR headset. Can I get one for my birthday?" Nevermind that "always" is doing a lot of work in this sentence. I know these are mostly designed for ages 13+. Anyone have experience letting younger kids play with one sometimes?

Our 5yo is home sick this week and periodically she rallies enough to ask to play with Snapchat filters. One of those sessions resulted in this little bop. 🌈🥔🙊

I think banning books only makes kids want to read them more, so I'm hopeful that's what happens here. But wow, what a list of incredible stories that everyone should read. And if The Handmaid's Tale traumatized someone who read it, then I have some very bad news...

It's been more than two years of using Slack, email and Zoom almost exclusively for work communications. So can we stop saying "nice to e-meet you" in emails?

"Figuring out how to feed a baby is a task that, like a lot of stereotypical mothering work, is often done in secret: accomplished without fuss or complaint or any acknowledgment that it can also be blisteringly stressful." 🙌🙌🙌

From my 6yo's teacher today: "Please know these last few days I will love on your babies like I have all year. And yes I would do ANYTHING for them. Right now they are all blissfully playing on the playground and I’m crying behind my sunglasses thankful I am their teacher." 💔
