Today is Child Care Worker and Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day! Please join us in thanking our incredible Early Childhood Educators and child care staff for their hard work and dedication, and the support they give to our youngest learners.

Another fun math challenge! After students made their estimates (sticks were in a clear jar originally!), we started to count. When we reached 40, they had the chance to change their estimate or keep it the same. Some amazing thinking and sharing of strategies @CarletonHeights

A beautiful day for a little Staff vs. Students soccer match @CarletonHeights !!! The kids played their hearts out, but to their dismay, the teachers came out victorious in the end 😅 What a fun way to encourage good sportsmanship and celebrate our amazing school community!

Kicking off our Conservation of Energy unit with a little bitmoji fun - my students had a great time explaining all the forms of energy virtual Miss Coleman was demonstrating and making connections to their own energy use and experiences! @CarletonHeights OCDSB

It’s been another great week of math! We love starting out our math block with number talks and discussing our problem solving strategies. Oh, and games are always fun, too! Here we’re playing ‘Tic-tac-ten’ - rolling dice and trying to be the first one to make a line of 10!

Today we learned the simple yet oh so fun game called ‘101’! Add the value on the die or multiply it by 10 and then add it, with the goal of reaching 101 without going over before all other teams! So much math, and a little competition, too! @CarletonHeights OCDSB

So proud of the @CarletonHeights girls soccer team for their hard work and amazing outcome at yesterday’s inter-school tournament. Thank you so much to all of the educators and volunteers who donated their time to helping make this day a reality for all the school teams! OCDSB
