A short, boring but important story. My daughter (20) works in a coffee shop. There is a lady who comes in. She has early onset dementia. She told my daughter she has no family and gets really lonely. They spend ages chatting.

You always have the power to make someone’s day… important to try and do so. This is wonderful

Everyone’s gonna be celebrating their wins today and that’s amazing. But remember sometimes just showing up is a win. 2023 hasn’t been easy for anyone. Acknowledge this, be kind & pat yourself on the back too. We made it through people. Onwards.

Check on your mates today, of course everyday but especially today. Nights out get shatter peoples mental health for a short period. Go show them some love & there’s no need to gloat about being sober either, it’s all a balance thing. Each to their own
