Tips for CPG brands pitching big retailers: Be armed with: 1. a succinct explanation of the product and why it’s different 2. samples to see, touch, feel and try if appropriate 3. have all the necessary administrative information on hand just in case – price, margin, UPC

Glad to see Shopify investing in the Theme Partner Program. Fair % to adjust the rev share to granted some of those proceeds will be reinvested into improving the experience. Hoping the biz model can allow for subs the future, something I advocated for during my time there

The dropship marketplaces of large retailers are the easiest way for brands to get their foot in the door, so acquiring Codisto last year to support these integrations on the platform level was the right move

Warren Kinsella And I suspect few chosen will actually succeed. Most businesses with good ideas can raise privately and governments generally not good at picking winners and losers. Market for all its imperfection is much better.

A complete and utter disgrace on our streets of Toronto, glorifying and celebrating terror as our western values erode to calls for death and destruction. I do not recognize this hate filled Canada, where Jew hatred and terrorist sympathizers go unchecked. Shameful.

I'm excited for us to introduce even more ways for merchants to customize Shopify POS to fit their needs. Can't wait to see what partners and merchants build with POS UI Extensions 👀

No issue with brands that add shipping protection in checkout or subscribe & save on product pages, but choosing to pre-select it is deceitful. These types of practices lower consumer trust and impact all merchants by extension

“It makes order meaningless. It erodes the social fabric—the part of society that values integrity and accountability.” 🎯 Merchants of all sizes deserve better in 🇨🇦 & 🇺🇸

This is insanity. Steven MacKinnon: <56 hrs til Black Friday & Canada Post is gridlocked in negotiations?! Gov't must intervene. Our Canadian small businesses will suffer otherwise. Last holiday season, our merchants lit up this map with orders. The ’24 strike risks wiping it

Two million Canadians voted on Friday. Extrapolate that like it’s 2021 and you get 96% turnout - obviously wild and not happening. It was Good Friday after all, and people were off. Still, if this keeps up, we could crack 70%. That hasn’t happened since 1984. #ChangeElection

Reminder that this is still a thing in Canada. We’re going to look back at whoever did this with disbelief in a couple of months I bet.
