Very sad to read. Nevertheless, the Nicklinson family continues to be a beacon of bravery just as Tony was. Please listen to them Keir Starmer Wes Streeting MP . MyDeath, MyDecision Humanists UK metro.co.uk/2024/09/16/fam…

Jason Dixon Currently in Dublin listening to doctors at a CPD event for medical professionals. Great presentations from Dr Stefanie Green and Dr Greg Mewett about how it works in Canada and Australia. I think it will be available online afterwards EndOfLifeIreland?

Congratulations on coming first on the ballot and well done on championing long-overdue assisted dying legislation. It's time to make this choice a reality.

A very important article as to why the assisted dying bill from Kim Leadbeater MBE MP should not exclude some of the people who need it most. Tony Nicklinson made the case very well.

Please ensure you consider people like me who are not terminal but have incurable conditions & will continue to suffer every day of our lives, yes there is joy but day after day with no change can be torturous - we need to be able to control when we have had enough as well #MDMD

It is essential that Kim Leadbeater MBE MP listens to those MPs questioning the very limited scope of the bill. Some of the strongest proponents in favour of changing the law were not terminally ill, such as Tony Nicklinson and Debbie Purdy. Keir Starmer telegraph.co.uk/politics/2024/…

An unsurprising position for someone who wants to pull us out of an agreement protecting human rights. telegraph.co.uk/politics/2024/…

Oral administration in assisted dying can bring problems of protracted deaths and even failure in some cases. However, criticism of IV administration comes exclusively from comparisons with the American death penalty which has an inferior drug protocol. Kim Leadbeater MBE MP

"Medic" seems to be promoting a book these days, I wonder if he's getting commission for it. Given Ilora Finlay is one of the authors, I'm absolutely sure there is no bias in it. 🙄

Also from Kevin Yuill: "I am on record as supporting the removal of what I see as the patronising prevention of competent adults getting their hands on deadly drugs."

This lady would like the option of a peaceful death if her suffering from MS were to become too much for her, something that previous assisted dying bills would have denied her. Kim Leadbeater MBE MP Keir Starmer inews.co.uk/news/health/te…

The bill from Kim Leadbeater MBE MP has been introduced as "The Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill". This defines the scope and unfortunately will exclude the incurably suffering who must continue to make their case long after this bill (hopefully) passes. humanists.uk/2024/10/16/ass…

BREAKING: MPs have rallied to support amendments to a government bill to remove the automatic right for 26 Church of England bishops to sit in the House of Lords. Fantastic to see such support. humanists.uk/2024/10/17/hum…

Directors of Public Prosecution are at the forefront of looking at cases of assisted dying, and three of them have come out in support of legalising assisted dying, joining fellow former DPP Keir Starmer. They have all examined the evidence. express.co.uk/news/uk/196443…

The answer for assisted dying is it should only be for the terminally ill and people with very severe physical illness. It should be arranged with doctors in advance, and carried out at such a time that their illness becomes so severe/painful that they no longer want to live.
