In other news, I just watched a great tit foraging in one of our box hedges. Hopefully they have found the box moth caterpillars.

Papaver rupifragum, 'Orange Feathers'. Grown from seed a few years ago and now coming into their own.

All quiet here today. Yesterday we had 452 visitors to the garden. Almost cancelled because we have Covid by glad we didn't.

First of this year's garlic. Pleased with these Mersley Wight.

Cropped the later garlic varieties, mostly Solent Wight which has a strong flavour and will store well into next spring.

Some of my favourite July flowers now appearing in the garden. This one is Lysimachia ephemerum.

Another July favourite, Crocosmia 'George Davison'.

Summer colour

Some decent big tomatoes at last. The larger varieties have taken an age to ripen this year.
