Good morning! It was an early morning for me... I've been up since I was woken at 2:58 am by a phone call from my aurora alert service. Unfortunately, I didn't see any northern lights because of the cloud cover. But I did get to catch a nice sunrise.

only three weeks till summer solstice. I’m taking advantage of every night including the sunset tonight along Crescent Beach.

Late, late dusk shot taken just now. Still a little color along the horizon. Like many others in Western New York, I'm waiting with baited breath to see if the Aurora Borealis predictions come to fruition tonight. This was a test shot. I'll let you know if I see anything.

Here we go again with the Aurora alerts. Not seeing anything right now, except the afterglow from the sunset and a starry night. I'm seeing some lights along the Canadian shoreline which means we might have a nice Fata Morgana going on tonight. I'll try to keep you postedon both.

The sun rising above the layer of haze along the horizon this morning - and you know what that means: the lazy hazy days of summer are finally upon us. Turn the volume up to get the full experience of the waves lapping at the shoreline.

Blue Herons this morning over Lake Ontario. I've never seen so many Herons as I have this year. They are all over the place.

Very nice time out on the Charlotte Pier last night capturing the full Strawberry Moon rising over Summerville and Irondequoit. It was a beautiful night with a great vibe, plus we ran into some friends and made a few new ones.

When I took this picture over Buck Pond, it was shaping up as one of the best sunsets I had seen in awhile. But then, all of a sudden, a fire truck zoomed by with it's lights ablazing and I captured them - along with their reflection in the pond - during a 30 second exposure.

It was a stunning night last night but I didn't stay out long enough to capture the northern lights. I had to rush back to finish watching the Stanley Cup finals. And it was a good choice. The game was wild!
