Great news that Sport England is targeting funding to areas with most barriers to being active and greatest health inequalities. Cycling UK supports communities that need it most thru grassroots clubs & programmes: cycling can be an easy & accessible way to live healthily.

And to you Louise Haigh! I think I recognise that pic from our recent e-bike ride in Sheffield 👀 Cycling UK is calling on the next govt to invest 10% of Department for Transport budget on walking & cycling by the end of the next Parliament so that everyone who wants to cycle can!

🚳 Let’s Not Skip the Investment in Active Travel with the next Government! Our Cycling UK manifesto is advocating for long-term investment in walking and wheeling. We call for at least 10% of the total transport budget to be dedicated to active travel within 5 years.

Happier, healthier and greener lives through cycling our new vision and strategy for Cycling UK

Very helpful thread from Pete Dyson on transport and the manifestos!

🚴♂️ At Cycling UK, we've launched our 5-year strategy! One goal: improve perceptions of cycling. I'm researching attitudes & media influences. Any #Research, #Articles, #Podcasts, or #People you recommend? Collaboration ideas welcome! #CyclingCommunity #CyclingResearch
