Just finished the 03-09-96 Battlarts show. WOAH! I am in love with the style. I’ve liked the little clips and matches that I’ve seen here and there but I’d never watched a full show. VERY much my type of thing!

I’m generally not a fan of English commentary but Veda is an exception. She adds to every match but isn’t up in your face in the least. It’s nice flavoring added to the story that’s being told. I rarely watch American wrestling but I always look forward to her on commentary.

This is truly amazing. So much weight and intensity to every single thing. I HAVE to see this match!

1/3 into The Painted Bird. The only comparison I can draw to how devastating and surreal this book is to Come And See. Every scene is a new atrocity and it’s only getting bleaker. It has a more surreal feel to the story as well. As bleak as The Road. Reading Gypsys Curse also.

I was super sick last week. I just stayed in bed, miserable. I ordered this to read as I moaned and died. It wasn’t delivered until today. I don’t think I’d have had the strength to hold this heavy ass thing anyway. That’s my weekend sorted!
