A few words about silos. Yes, I am a big fan of dismantling silos! The more knowledge we get into a team, the better. There is only one problem - we will ALWAYS have dependencies in knowledge work. And I try to use words as always and never quite sparingly.

What if we called them supporting lines instead of reporting lines? Imagine replacing lines like “these are my direct reports” with “these are the people I directly support”?
