Day 2 at the African Girls and Young Women festival, we unpacked reparations in regional groups, asking who holds power, who’s excluded, and how colonial legacies shape our rights. In sisterhood & healing spaces, we found strength, rest, and a shared vision for justice. #SheLeads

Cultural Night was a vibrant close to the Festival. We lit up the space in traditional wear, dancing, drumming, ululating; honoring the cultures that raised us. Joy became justice. Dance became a declaration. #ISpeak4Myself #SheLeads

Through Young Women Empowerment Network, we visited Cyahinda Genocide Memorial in Nyaruguru District, to honor the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, and support survivors, mainly youth and widowed women. #Kwibuka31 #NeverAgain
