All of El Paso should be proud of Irvin grad and UTEP grad Kayla Thornton tonight. She’s a champion in the WNBA with NY Liberty. She’s worked hard to get where she is through passion and great determination. A basketball legend, an El Paso legend and an inspiration to us all.

America failed women tonight. Trump bullied, assaulted, and stripped reproductive rights away from women all across the country and instead of standing against it, many voted for it. We have failed our daughters, mothers, and sisters.

People were so “El Paso Strong” and then voted for the racist that caused the mass shooting. Sin vergüenza.
