Better to be a Christian who knows little theology but abounds in the fruit of the Spirit than to be a Christian who abounds in theology but bears little fruit. Mature believers know the importance of both the mind and heart, and abound in both.

Many Christians start with zeal. We set goals: "I’ll pray every morning." "I’ll read 3 chapters daily." "I’ll fast every Friday." But we often burn out, feel guilty, and slowly drift. Why? Because consistency in the Spirit is not humanly sustained. It is Spirit-empowered.

My sister is running the premiere amateur motocross national in Canada this week. At the end of the week is the 8th and final round of the Canadian women's professional national series, in which she's running 8th on the season. Prayers for safety and good judgment.

Talent doesn't equal anointing.

I lived like this for a long time, not realizing it. I was raised Christian. So I knew all the Christian ideals and mentalities and such. But I never actually dug into it myself until relatively recently. I just parroted a lot of the common misconceptions that *sound* good.

Take it from a lifetime Christian who didn't start seriously digging into the Word until I was 23.

I haven't shared this part of my life on here too much, but here are some old photos of when I still raced. 15 years of my life went to this sport. Sister went pro in the women's class this year in Canada. If I could do it all over again, I would make sure this was my career.
