Learning what bartering was like in the 1700's with this trading card game!! We each had to gather enough water, clothing, and animals to survive in historic Georgia 👖🥤🐄

Making our 1700's newspapers look "historic!" We got to crumble, rip, and soak them in coffee! Check out the final result-

Celebrated our class pet's birthday today! Axolotl themed math games, books, and writing- all day long. We even made our own bookmarks and had adorable cupcakes (courtesy of a student who celebrated her Bday today too!) 🥳

Open Mic Night at Ms. Cahill's Café! Students performed their poems for the class to finish off our poetry unit. I am SO impressed by their creativity and emotion shown in their poems!

Happy Earth Day! The entire 2nd Grade spent this afternoon taking care of our Earth by picking up litter around the school. Look at how much they got!!

We had the BEST time today on our first field trip of the year! We went hiking around Chattahoochee Nature Center to learn about Georgia’s past, as well as local animals.

We discovered what changes can affect states of matter this week! Combining ingredients to create our own play doh, and shaking (a lot!) to make homemade butter! Educational AND delicious 🧈🍞

Had a BLAST🚀 on our field trip to the Fernbank Planetarium today!!
