Born in #Gafsa, Ifriqiyah (modern day #Tunisia) in 1233, Ibn Manẓūr was a #Maghrebi lexicographer of the Arabic language and author of the most comprehensive and best known Arabic dictionary called Lisān al-ʿArab. He worked as a judge in Tripoli, Libya and Egypt.
