One of the best speeches I’ve heard in the Dáil in a long time. No surprise that Simon Harris and Paschal Donohue sit there smirking.

Things are getting heated at the Fianna Fáil parliamentary party meeting. Will Micheál Martin survive his term as Taoiseach? Find out next week on Will Fianna Fáil Backbenchers Grow a Backbone This Time!? #rtept #TonightVMTV #JimGavin

Fianna Fáil has become a circus. MM has humiliated and betrayed the party and surrounded himself with yes men to keep himself insulated and clinging to power. Rather than standing up for the party, FF members have fallen in line like good little boys and girls. #JimGavin

This is one of the strangest tweets I’ve seen. When people start realising that culture war politics and “left v right” does nothing to make Irish peoples lives easier, we can start to “heal”. Manufacturing outrage is an unhealthy way to spend Christmas.

Up six points since the General Election. More than any other party in the country. 6 points ahead of Fine Gael. A whopping 8 points ahead of Fianna Fáil, but Daniel Murray from the Business Post says Sinn Féin is in trouble. Irish media, folks 😂

Is Fine Gael’s Joe Neville going to actually allow Lynn Boylan 🍷📖🐾 to finish a sentence or does he just enjoy the sound of his voice as much as Shane Coleman does? #TonightVMTV

I spent a few hours at the #fuelprotest today because I wanted to see, first hand, what the situation was like. Emergency vehicles are accommodated. Protesters are passionate and calm. People are singing, dancing and posing no threat. The government must listen.

Sinn Féin TDs and Senators met this morning and will be moving a motion of no confidence in the government. The actions of Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and Independents have been disastrous. They have lost the confidence of the public. It is clear that they still are not listening

Ahead of tomorrow’s confidence vote IND TD Barry Heneghan said he was carefully considering his position and consulting with his team. He added that he was progressing private wires legislation to reduce wasted renewable energy and that work would stop if the Government falls.

NEW: Independent TDs Sean Canney, Marian Harkin, and ‘Boxer’ Moran have confirmed they will vote confidence in the Government. Barring any backbench rebels, the Government has secured the 87 votes they need to win the vote.
