Thank you to everyone who supported our Summer Fair yesterday. A grand total of two thousands pounds was raised which will make a huge difference to the school (we're trying to save up to get more outdoor play equipment). Special thanks to our Friends of Indian Queens School.

Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed their end of term beach trip, playing football, rounders, parachute games and paddling in the river. Not to mention an ice-cream (thanks Mrs Chapman!) and a bit of digging of course!

Well done to our Eco Champions who presented online to a group of other schools and told them about all the good work they've been doing. They talked about how they've been saving energy, analysing energy usage as well as biodiversity projects including developing our pond.

Thank you to everyone who attended one (or many) of our five sports days this week. There was a great atmosphere at all of them and the children really appreciated the warm cheering and support. Congratulations to the teams who received medals for collecting the most points.

Everyone at the school would like to thank parents, children and the local community for their ongoing support and faith in the school. It is very much appreciated. We will see you on Thursday 4th September.

Thank you to all our volunteers who came in today to clear endless brambles and gorse from the Outdoor Education Area. It's much appreciated when the local community supports the school - the children will now have more areas to play and explore thanks to their hard work.

Thanks to the second group of volunteers who came in to concrete slabs around the pond and tidy up the area. Special thanks to everyone who has helped through the year - the area looks excellent and will be a fantastic resource to the school for years to come.

Thanks to Lanhydrock for donating lengths of hazel for us to use for shelter building and lots of other things in our Outdoor Education Area. Volunteers cut and shaped the lengths before Claire Brewer brought them to school by 4x4. It's much appreciated by everyone.

Well done to all the pupils and parents today for coming into school showing such a great attitude. All the classes were working brilliantly together and it was great fun visiting each classroom and seeing so many smiling faces. We'll pop on photos tomorrow.

What an incredible Space Wow Day to launch our new topic in Y5/6! The children painted galaxies, ran a space treasure hunt, created large-scale constellations, launched rockets and worked together on a Mars excavation. It was a fantastic way to finish our first week back.

Well done to everyone for a great first full week even though it seemed to rain most of the time. Congratulations to those who reached Sky High and received a certificate.

Year 5 and 6 have taken their learning outside to our Outdoor Education Area to learn about how river deltas form with water, sand and growan in a practical session.

Congratulations to our Y3/4 boys football team who competed at Treviglas today. They won lots of matches (with clean sheets) and narrowly lost a single game with a goal in the last minute. Excellent sporting behaviour was shown and we're very proud of them all.

Y3/4 ventured off to Castilly Henge to be part of the excavation work. They learnt about dating finds, with Caroline from Cornish Heritage Trust, and worked with Robin the artist to produce fun designs. We'd very much like to thank Cornwall Heritage Trust 〓〓 for funding and running the day.

Well done to everyone for a great week. This week's core value was 'Gratitude' and it was great to see this in action around school. Well done also to everyone who reached 'Sky High' and received a certificate in our Celebration Assembly.

The girls represented the school at a girls' football tournament. They didn't loose a game and came 2nd place on goal difference! Absolutely amazing, well done!
