Riverview Blvd @Gladys is blocked completely in north bound lane, under railway under pass. MSD has been contacted. Retention basin flooded street. Avoid if possible.

And with that, the '25-'26 legislative session begins. It was honor to stand beside our new and returning alders and mayor as they were sworn into office. Thank you for your support, St. Louis; we're ready to get back to work!

Large amounts of rain have contributed to big sinkholes opening around the city. City departments have responded quickly to secure these areas, and MSD will be working on repairs. Stay safe, and please call 911 if you see a large sinkhole. For smaller sinkholes, contact Citizens' Svc Bureau.

Numbers to call if you need them. Also, the City is asking people to text rather than call your people if possible, as cell circuits are overloaded right now causing connectivity issues.

Earlier today, I was joined by Gov. Kehoe as we continued to assess the terrible damage in our community. Five lives have been lost. 5,000 buildings have been destroyed or damaged. About 70,000 Ameren customers are without power.

For emergency resource support, please contact United Way by calling 211 or visiting 211helps.org. You can also donate at that site. The American Red Cross has open shelter spots at the 12th & Park Recreational Center and Friendly Temple Outreach Center.

The city is still building a volunteer infrastructure to best direct people who want to help. In the meantime, as we shift from immediate emergency response to storm recovery, the city needs all hands on deck to support our neighbors and help St. Louis begin to rebuild.

Following Friday's storms, crews are rebuilding shattered energy infrastructure. About 1,900 workers are coordinating restoration challenges such as more than 300 broken poles, extensive tree damage, blocked roads, and collapsed buildings. We'll be here until all are restored.

Our city cannot shoulder this alone. The state of Missouri cannot shoulder this alone. We need partners at the federal level to step up and help. This is what the federal government is for. We saw a tremendous amount of damage — estimates suggest over $1 billion so far.

The streets, parks and forestry crews are working around the clock to clear off debris from our streets and repair traffic signals and fallen light poles. We could not do this without them. ❤️ As a reminder, please report any issues directly to CSB: stlouis-mo.gov/government/dep….

Despite last night's storms, recovery efforts in North St. Louis continue. We’ve safely restored power to 87% of customers affected by the May 16 storm, and our commitment to the community remains strong. Every connection matters, and we'll be here until everyone is back on.

The Building Division is conducting damage assessments to understand the extent of storm impact and to determine safety. Homes will be marked with color-coded tags to communicate risk levels. These tags are meant to guide safety, not to remove residents from their homes.

The Building Division is working to prevent the escalation of rumors that the placards serve as official documentation to remove individuals from their home. This is false and does not represent the work currently being conducted by our inspectors.

This morning, a huge crew of contractors and their teams rolled into tornado-impacted neighborhoods to help us clear out debris. I continue to be amazed by all the people who work day after day to help our community recover. Thank you all! #STLrecovers

I’m so fucking tired of replacing tires just because I drive in St. Louis. Truly, no fewer than 8 tires since like 2021. Bonkers.
