Did you know May is National Foster Care Month? Today, we want to highlight two of our youth, Stefan and Mac! These two recently had the opportunity to share with state representatives the challenges older foster youth face within the foster care system and advocate for reform.

There is a large population of Ethiopian young women who have not attended school, leaving them without valuable skills as they move forward in life.  I Pour Life's mission is to develop social capital in these individuals to see them succeed both today and in the future!

In the 20 years since 9/11 there has been more research conducted on its mental health effects than any other single act of mass violence in U.S. history. We now have a better idea of PTSD and the long-term effects of traumatic events.

Yesterday, our team went to Jefferson City to meet with MO Representatives. Their primary goal was to determine foster care policy goals for the next legislative session. They are early on in the process but are planning on continuing the conversation throughout the fall.
