If you want to compare the RX or TX performance of your antenna, I recommend everyone to switch WSJT-X from FT8 to WSPR for at least 24 hours and show what you have. This is a wellgood loop with 1 m diameter and a Spot distance of more than 6000 km during 24 hours.

Harry Zachrisson Intl. Reminder: S-meter values and absolute noise floor are meaningless. The signal-to-noise ratio SNR is what counts. If you have good ears, 6 dB SNR will work for trained listeners on SSB voice.

At this time of year, the 20m band usually lights up, but thanks to solar activity --> solar storms, we see much poorer DX condx is.gd/YVAw2l - mid June numbers are not encouraging.

I keep saying it but I could not go back now to a stand alone Rig. Separate RX/TX allows you to do so much. Had a nice blether tonight with CX5AAA in 🇺🇾. Both of us on wire antennas too. #airspy #SDR

The central WSPR database (Clickhouse DB) stores 10 billion historical WSPR spots and counting. There is no other amateur radio mode with the same large data storage capabilities for HF propagation analysis.

Thanks to the huge WSPR database, you can recognize an annually repeating DX propagation pattern. Solar cycle 25. Graphing Spots where distance is > 3000 km and TX Pwr = 200 mW. Querying the DB for 180 million spots in under 8 seconds!! Big Data at scale!
