Congratulations to John M. Clayton Elementary School Teacher Jaime Swartz for being named an Outstanding Project Lead The Way Teacher for 2024-2025! Jaime was one of only 103 teachers from across the United States to receive this honor.

Sussex Central High School Teacher Academy fall interns started their early career experiences at North Georgetown Elementary, Georgetown Elementary and Millsboro Middle School on Monday, September 16. We're so excited for these future teachers to start their journey!

Indian River School District will host its first-ever We Are IRSD Community Festival on Saturday, Oct. 5 on the grounds of the Howard T. Ennis School and Sussex Central High School. The district will be providing families with bus transportation to the festival. (See schedule.)

On Sept. 15, staff from Georgetown Middle School and Long Neck Elementary proudly represented IRSD at the annual Hispanic Festival in Georgetown. We were excited to hand out school supplies to students, and everyone enjoyed a wonderful day celebrating our vibrant community!
