We turn chromosomes into images "painted" by local ancestry along columns with individuals as rows. The method works well in simulated & human genotype data, including tests on a smaller number of AIMs/loci.

in particular, our method localizes an adaptive locus to much smaller genomic window, which should improve downstream interpretation

We uploaded pre-trained data to a web portal so you can try it out! Examples available, or make your own image. huggingface.co/spaces/imanham… the training model is simple, but we mostly found misspecification had minimal impact, so be cautiously optimistic with new population examples
