The speakers at the mini-symposium on Numerical Linear Algebra for PDEs at ILAS2022_Galway Lots of variety of methods, discretizations (FDMs, FEMs, p-FEMs, xFEM...). Applications ranged from cracked cubes, to optimal placement of armchairs in attics, to dinosaur-killing asteroids!

5/ I had a slide with translations of some basic linear algebra terms, and used up 5 of my 20 precious minutes telling my international audience about Irish and my excitement in learning it and using it.

The ILAS Board approved a proposal to hold the 26th ILAS Conference in Kaohsiung, in the South of the island of Taiwan, June 23–27, 2025. The main organizers are Jephian C.-H. Lin (National Sun Yat-sen University) and Matthew M. Lin (National Cheng Kung University).
