If you read Manacled & your take from it is how bad of a love story it is then that's on you for even treating it as one when the entire point of the story is to show what a long, brutal war, systemic oppression, & relentless abuse can do to people & how they cope just to survive

i am so tired of saying this: manacled is NOT a love story. its a war fic. if you have read the entire thing, you'll know that the crimes committed there were never glorified. if this fic repulses you, then it has served its purpose of showing how horrible and sickening war is

manacled isn’t meant to be for everyone. it is good literature inspired by the handmaids tale. all senlinyu did was show how easily the worlds can coincide. idk, maybe it’s just too realistic for yall and you don’t like seeing your fav characters that way.
