It was fantastic to host our local MP Luke Taylor MP at our #Sutton campus today. We introduced Luke to several scientists working in our Centre for Cancer #DrugDiscovery including within our structural chemistry, medicinal chemistry and molecular biology teams. #CancerResearch

We showed Luke a number of pieces of cutting-edge equipment that our scientists use to study potential molecular weaknesses in cancer that they can then target with drug candidates. 🔬🧪⚗️👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

We were able to talk about some of the challenges facing #CancerResearch, including the financial sustainability of science funding. It was great to get his support for our 'Defeating cancer together' report. We look forward to continuing to work together🤝 #DefeatCancer
