Seeking Unity in Ramadan 1447 (UK): The next Ramadan is about 6 months away, but it will arrive sooner than you think. To minimise the disunity, could all our UK Imams/Scholars start the Quran Khatam from the 2nd Ramadan as per the Saudi Ummul Qura calendar (i.e. from 18/2/2026)?

Reporting Moon Sightings: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The best of witnesses is the one who gives his testimony before being asked for it." [Tirmidhi] If you sight the moon, please report it to ICOUK as a trust from Allah (Quran 2:283).

When you report it, please state all the facts (e.g., any devices or filters used) and do not lie, so it can be verified correctly. If your report is not accepted, please do not be abusive or disappointed, but try again in large groups (Ruyah Ammah).

Optical Aids and UK Moon Sightings: The last Ramadan 1446 moon sighting in the UK on 28 Feb 2025, report has been independently investigated by Mufti Abdul Waheed from a Shariah perspective, and has concluded was correct (100%). [ bit.ly/JknOpticsFatwa ].
