Writers nowadays portray Juvia more like an OC than a cannon character. Miss the OG FT verse here.

I believe there should always be a writer's own touch in the character they're portraying. So, going OC in some portions is completely fine as you're writing it. Unfortunately, I see writers are writing completely opposite cannon characters nowadays...not just Juvia alone.
