In the protected qubits world, the long-awaited protomon demonstration is finally available: arxiv.org/abs/2411.16648 by Shashwat Kumar, Xinyuan You & Xanthe et al. Neat experiment with many subtleties; raises interesting questions about loss modelling in superconducting qubits.

We had the great pleasure of hosting Jeronimo Martinez from the Houck lab Andrew Houck at Princeton Engineering for a short time. A master of whispering with qubits on the keyboard ( cirq ) and commanding the keys with unmatched mastery on piano. Amir Karamlou Nikita Astrakhantsev Eliott Rosenberg

A semi-classical hike with Silke Buehler-Paschen TU Wien, Nikita Astrakhantsev, Shashwat Kumar and ... to the inspirational point Visit Santa Barbara

Invited speakers and the chairperson of the memorable L12 , Anyon interferometry in atomic and superconducting qubit processors American Physical Society #APSSummit25

Our paper that tells you how to make millisecond transmons just appeared. Congrats, Matthew, Faranak and team! In collaboration with Nathalie de Leon and Bob Cava, and building on five years of work in Co-design Center for Quantum Advantage (C2QA) arxiv.org/abs/2503.14798

Impressive experimental result from Google Quantum AI, now in Nature. A collaborative effort led by Tyler Cochran from Princeton University as a part of the quantum hardware residency program. A major step forward for quantum simulations of gauge theories!

Celebrating the Independence day and Norhan Eassa ‘s last day of internship at Google Quantum AI with Shashwat Kumar and Eliott Rosenberg and a fraction of the group and significant others

Professor Andrew Houck '00 has been appointed dean of @eprinceton, effective August 1: bit.ly/44CPh4S Houck co-directs the Princeton Quantum Initiative and leads the federally funded national quantum research center, Co-design Center for Quantum Advantage (C2QA).

A happy day for the LGT fans ! The largest quantum simulation experiment of 2+1D lattice gauge theories (LGT) took place on Willow ! thanks to Google Quantum AI team We thanks the DFL fans (disorder-free localization) for suggesting it.

Very happy to have contributed to this work as part of Pedram Roushan’s team at Google Quantum AI! Exciting to see those 81 qubits on the Willow chip power the largest 2+1D Lattice Gauge Theory simulations experiment. A big step toward large-scale on-chip quantum applications!

Had some great time welcoming our student researcher Manuel Rudolph at Google Quantum AI . He will be designing our new beyond-classical applications!
