Society for Mathematical Psychology Symposium at Psychonomic Society meeting is Thursday! Join us in the Public Garden Room (5th floor) 08:30-12:00 for talks on the theme "Computational psychiatry: How can mathematical psychology contribute to this emerging field?" #iccmpsyched

Psychonomic Society Poster session follows lunch from 13:00-14:00 in the poster hall. Full schedule and program available at mathpsych.org/conference/11/ See you in Boston!

Frederike Petzschner provided a riveting talk over the dynamic of becoming hooked on gambling. She asked: Why do we get hooked and why is it that some people stay hooked? While one explanation could be Intermittent reinforcement (Ferster & Skinner, 1957) . . .

“You bet giraffe we can!” Michael Lee spoke about the using cognitive models to understand how semantic representations change with cognitive impairment. Westfall and Lee presented participants with images of cartoon animals (e.g., cow, giraffe, & elephant).

Check out recent tweets from Psychonomic Society on today's MathPsych symposium on computational psychiatry!

Does division of labour between team members guarantee efficiency? Ami Eidels, Murray S Bennett, Laiton Hedley, Jonathon Love, Joe Houpt, Scott Brown investigated human to human and human to bot performance in an arcade game.
