Observation: Castleford is absolutely dead on a Friday night. Even with a Super League game going on, and the crowd being an almost-obvious customer base. Pontefract, on the other hand…

A bit late, but here it is anyway. #radioactive #worms by Azvex Brewing Co. Hazy IPA. Very fruit/hop forward (I worry I’m beginning to sound like I know what I’m talking about!). A refreshing hit, after quite a punchy forward taste. A very pleasing, palatable pint.

Next up was #steadyrollingman by DEYA Hazy Pale Ale. Nice and refreshing; a punchy start but a nice follow-up with a tasty full body.

#1838 from Thornbridge Brewery This is interesting. It tastes far stronger than the 4.5% ABV it claims to be. It definitely is a grower - probably not at its best immediately after a decent IPA. This, IMHO, makes it a very good contender for the session beer of the year.

#burtonale by Thornbridge Brewery I’d never understood what a “Burtonised” ale was until I drank this. Very forward tasting and definitely one to be respected. This one slowed me right down, which is probably a good thing to be fair.

I always enjoy popping into the Cherry Tree at Market Harborough when I’m in town. The Everards #tiger beer here is second to none; caramel, biscuit, malty… what’s not to love about it, especially when it’s presented so well.

London Waterloo. Just had a “homeless” guy asking me to transfer £20 to an account with a sort code and account number. What… the … fuck..? Fuck off

#Jarl by Fyne Ales - A lovely refreshing tipple for a lazy sunny Easter Sunday. Fruity and light, with a slight hoppy aftertaste. What’s not to like? Highly recommended.

My weekend begins with my favourite non-m62 corridor bitter. Tiger “Copper Ale” presented at the Cherry Tree is an amazing representation of Everard’s best. Highly recommended. I’d tag em, but they’ve quit this place. Might need to consider doing the same. #bitter #malty

Hi Rockstar Support ... I have an issue/question regarding an account migration from PS4 to PS5 version of GTA V... can you help, please? I can't find a free-text support option in your support portal. Many thanks and have a great weekend!

Fish & chips from Carlton Chippy in Castleford — superb every time. Perfect for a pre- or post-rugby feed! Friendly staff, proper crispy batter. Even Horatio Nelson would queue for this! 🐟🍟🏉 #Castleford #FishAndChips
