So I've been thinking a bit about Service Meshes, especially with the whole SMI (Service Mesh Interface) thing. (Thread) 1/18

Today we launch SIMMY - chaos-engineering integrating with #PollyOSS for .NET. Inject exceptions, faults, latency or other rogue behaviour to test your system! thepollyproject.org/2019/06/27/sim… . Props to the awesome team: Minhaz for seeding the idea, Geovanny Alzate Sandoval for making it happen!

The very best kind of feature development: Time spent talking with customers about the problem, mapping out possible solutions, designing the feature → 6 weeks Time spent implementing the feature → 1 hour (54 lines of code)

A project was running late. One of the developers told me in tears that "he should have estimated better". There was a lot wrong with that project, and wrong estimates was the least of their problems. This is the kind of dysfunction surrounding estimates that I rebel against.

Quit fibbing about how long it took to write/code/design something. You're not impressing anyone by saying it took less time than it did, and you're making it even harder for new folks. Stage demos used to be full of the"We did it all in 3 days" crap, and I've always hated it.
