Sunday 10:15 pm: Tropical Dexter has formed east of North Carolina, will track eastward, further out to sea. Shearing winds will ultimately lead to it’s demise in perhaps 3 days. It is centered south of, and is distinct from a nearby front, and is a warm cored tropical storm.

Monday 9:11 am: Rising air beneath spreading winds high up has helped to produce thunderstorms in east/central Texas. This disturbance will tend to follow the mid level wind flow toward south Texas. I will watch radar in case showers could reach us early evening. More 105F heat.

Tuesday 8:30 am: A hot airmass remains in control of our weather. A weak upper level disturbance is moving southwest from the mid Texas coast and may trigger scattered showers in south Texas this afternoon/evening. Slight chance Laredo, somewhat better chance Zapata southward.

Tuesday 4:13 pm: Big Picture Weathermap: Rather diffuse/weak frontal boundaries. We are on the southeast side of a hot airmass, 104F so far. A weak upper level disturbance (not seen on this surface map) along with sea breeze is tracking west, will watch radar, slight chance.
