I wrote something about how Best Interests treatment decisions become hidden in plain sight during emergencies, and how they subsequently get overlooked for review. It's in response to a recent court case. Can we do better - clinicians & judges? Thanks Open Justice Court of Protection Project

I want to see simple, low key measures like mandatory masks, home working and social distancing brought back ASAP to (a) protect society’s vulnerable members from Covid & (b) help the NHS carry on caring for all our non-Covid patients. Please RT if you do too.

Robin Ince Why is it never the encouraging voices that bellow? You do know the critical voices don't stand scrutiny, don't you? But isn't it hard to listen past them to the voice that tells us we're good enough? Tell us six things you're proud of next time the negative bellowing starts!

A&E doctor on Sky News says today’s Covid announcement is: “Living with Boris Johnson not living with Covid.” She’s right. It’s a political decision not a scientific decision.

Ambulance response data for July was released today by NHS England - & it is shockingly unsafe. On average, it took 59 mins to reach Cat 2 calls, i.e. emergencies such as heart attacks & strokes. The target is 18 mins. Paramedics are doing their utmost. But *where* is the govt?

Biochemistry in palliative care 🧵 Can you really tell that much from a set of blood results? Are they useful in palliative care?

Been asked again why 13 yrs in the same job I haven't progressed up from band 5... I have progressed but just not gone into a management role... in that 13 yrs I've developed a true passion for palliative care and gained a wealth of knowledge & experience I want to be hands on
