Year 3 went on a Science Walk to Hughenden Park on Friday 14th October. We were leaf detectives and tried to identify trees by observing their leaves. We found conkers, acorns and sycamore seeds and this helped to enrich our understanding about different types of seed dispersal.

Sorry if your child has gone home covered in chalk and pastels today! We spend a happy afternoon creating Stone Age cave paintings. Our finished artwork looks amazing. What a fantastic bunch of artists we have in Year 3. 🎨🙌

Yesterday, we held Diwali evening at our school and it was wonderful that so many of our children, staff and parents were able to attend this special event. It was a vibrant celebration and the children lit up the stage with their spellbinding dance performances.🪔🪔

Children absolutely loved the immersive experience they had by VR workshop. Y3 took on a virtual journey around the world to visit the Seven Wonders of the World & Y4 were transported back in time to discover the period of Ancient Egypt. Year 3 went on a local walk today and we looked at some exciting landmarks and interesting buildings. We have gained a lot of knowledge about the history and geography of High Wycombe. Thank you to all the parents helpers who supported us.

Day in the life of Year 3 was such an exciting and fun filled event. Thank you to all the parents who were able to come and support us. We created artwork inspired by Kandinsky and wrote messages for our Kindness Tree. Well done to all the children for being so creative.

Year 3 children and staff had a fantastic time visiting Hampton Court Palace today. We explored the Tudor kitchens, strolled in the gardens and walked through the maze. The children were engaged, excited and extremely well behaved and super ambassadors of Hamilton Academy.

On Thursday 9th May we visited Hampton Court Palace. We travelled back in time to the court of Henry the VIII and the Tudor era. We visited the Tudor kitchens, walked along the cobbled courtyards, admired the magnificent gardens and figured out the maze. History at it's best!

What a fantastic 'Day in the Life' we experienced in Year 3 today. Thank you to all the parents who attended. We spent a very happy afternoon together creating our own dream jars inspired by BFG. Well done to all the talented artists and dreamers.
