A little virus isn't the only piece of useless junk exported from China during 2020. I am constantly cleaning up more useless Chinese sourced junk which is steadily polluting the nature in this beautiful wooded part of Germany where I live. An image to sum up 2020?

@dominiquetaegon 6 people under 19 with no other illness have died with Covid. 338 under 60. Therefore both pupils and teachers are more likely to die driving to school than of Covid at school. This is all about politics, not science or public health.

As a child I listened to my grandmother explain the Nazi occupation: how hopeless it felt. The rage she experienced. How she got up every day with the same despair eating away at her. I never *really* got it, how could I? But I’m starting to.

Suppose someone had said to you this time last year: ‘Act as if you have the flu. Even if you feel perfectly well & have no symptoms. Wear a face-mask and at all times keep your distance from your fellow human beings’ . You’d have thought they were bonkers, wouldn’t you?

I remain disappointed that children’s books are deemed as ‘not essential’ during a period of lockdown when schools are closed. This, from my local supermarket today.

The continued masking and lockdown today will have worse and irreparable consequences tomorrow. Our immune systems, our mental, physical and spiritual health. This must end. It’s been almost a year. Just stop.

We seem to now have around 30,000 more Covid deaths than excess deaths over the five year average. That is to say 30,000 fewer deaths than normal from non-covid causes. Either Covid cures other diseases or many of these people would have died anyway.
