I noticed that Senator Marshall is visiting Kansas. Why? Your constituents live in Florida, just as you do. You no longer represent the people of Kansas.

Does anyone have a list of all the agencies and people that won't operate or get paid if the government shuts down? I do know our incompetent Congress still gets paid. Since they are the ones who caused this problem, I think they are deserving of their paychecks.

The government is on the verge of shutting down. Time to take another month-long vacation, Congress. You refused to address this until the last minute; now the American people will suffer because of your ignorance.

Greg Gorman (@gormang) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Congress is quick to tell us that they are the most intelligent body on earth. You are not even capable of doing a budget.

Greg Gorman (@gormang) 's Twitter Profile Photo

If the government shuts down, approximately 4 million people will be out of work. Our military won't get paid. Worry not, though, our glorious Congress, which brought this problem on because they can't do a budget, will still receive their paychecks.

Air traffic controllers walk off if you don't get paid. Let them fire all of you. I bet you will stay unemployed for only a few minutes. Congress is getting paid, and they are the problem. We just paid Argentina $20 billion, but we can't pay you or the military?

It is good to hear the House won't be called in session this week. While the govt. is shut down, they still receive their pay while millions go without pay. How many days have they met since August 1st? Then again, as much will get done without them in session.

What do you look for in a spiritual advisor? Is sexually abusing a 12-year-old one of the qualifications? I doubt it, but I could be wrong.

Greg Gorman (@gormang) 's Twitter Profile Photo

There were plenty of shootings this past weekend. I know this makes Congress proud, and the House would be congratulating each other, but they are not in session. They are busy trying to do away with all forms of health insurance, except for themselves.

$40 BILLION TO ARGENTINA??? ARE YOU PEOPLE CRAZY??? Could that money have been used at home? What do we owe to Argentina? They have put our farmers in a financial pinch, and we are supporting it.

Are you telling me we can spend $40B on Argentina, $1B on Trump’s Qatar jet, $250M on Trump’s ballroom, $150M on Trump’s golf, $520M on Trump's National Guard deployments & $172M on Kristi Noem’s jets - but we can’t spend a penny on lowering our healthcare premiums. Oh, hell no.

People call Social Security an "entitlement." It’s not. You paid into it. Hardworking Americans have spent the last 20, 30, 40 years watching the government take money from every paycheck. Don’t ever let a Republican or a Democrat call it an entitlement. You paid in—you earned

It’s pretty fucking hard to make sense of us giving $40 billion to Argentina’s federal government when our federal workers are standing on fucking breadlines here at home.

Trump: Ronald Reagan loved tariffs. They used AI to make him say he didn’t. Let’s not become immune to how easily and blatantly this man lies.

Jo (@jojofromjerz) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I’m sure it’s merely a coincidence that the guy who bankrupted casinos is now responsible for the first, second, and third longest government shutdowns in our country’s history.

Farmer: I was selling soybeans for $16.80 a bushel. Trump announced those tariffs to China and the price plummeted all the way down to $7 a bushel. The tariffs aren't working. Trump said farmers are gonna get some money. I haven't seen a dime. In 10 months, Trump has caused

Why don't both sides get together and work out a compromise to reopen the government? The only reason has to be that they are happy with what is going on. The more the American people suffer, the happier Congress is.
